Title:
CO 2-6-6-6 #1603 - Chesapeake & Ohio
Description:
Massive Lima built articulated locomotive so suited for long coal train drags. According to www.Steamlocomotive.com "It should also be noted that the Alleghenies were some of the most powerful steam locomotives ever built. At 40 MPH they could generate 7,500 HP. Specifics - H-8 class, 67" drivers, impressive 260 psi boiler pressure, 22.5x33" cylinders, engine weight of 771,300 lb, massive tractive effort of 110,211 lb, scrapped between 1952-56. Arthur B.
