| On the day after Christmas in 1979 Southern Railway NW2 1027 was working on the railroad's New Orleans Terminal Co. subsidiary near the Elysian Fields Avenue overpass. Originally numbered 2236 the locomotive had spent much of its life in New Orleans, and it was retired the next year. |
