| The Gallitzin tunnel (left) was opened in 1904 and abandoned in 1995. The Allegheny Tunnel (right) opened in 1854. It was identical to the Gallitzin Tunnel until 1994 when Conrail converted it to dual tracks, with enough clearance for double stack containers. |
