The Cascade mountain town of Skykomish has moved its former GN depot (apparantly shortened with the entire freight side missing) across the tracks from its original location to a lot that once held the transfomer station for electric operations. It's on a new base and will soon be associated with a kid's railroad, whose tracks are going down on the south side. The silver culvert to the right will eventually be buried to become the line's 'tunnel'. The BNSF main still runs about 20 yards to the north (left in this shot, which was taken in a steady rain) |
