PRR 6336, I-1S, 1937 |
Description: |
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Homewood, Pennsylvania, on 13 February 1937. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6336, an I-1S (2-10-0) "Decapod" built in Juniata during August of 1919, rebuilt as an I-1SA in May of 1941, and retired in August of 1956 after 37 years of faithful service. It looks to me like it's stopped under the overhead water plug in order to refill the tender's reservoir. Gary Mittner Collection. |
